A photograph keeps how someone looked. It does not keep the snoring, the twitching paws, the way they sat at your feet, or the small habit that was only ever theirs.
These twenty questions are a gentle way of writing those things down while you can still hear them. They are for the one beside you now, and the one you miss. There is no right order and no right answer, and no deadline.

What is inside
- Twenty questions in five short sections: who they were, the little things, places and days, you and them, keeping them.
- A few extra questions for dogs, cats, horses and ponies, rabbits, small pets and birds.
- Room to write under each question. Print it, or write on a tablet.
What to do with your answers
Keep them for yourself, tuck them in a card or a scrapbook, or share them with someone who loved your friend too. If you would one day like them turned into a book, that is where Matt & Milly starts: you tell us about your friend, we write the story and paint it in watercolour from your photos, and you see a proof before you pay.
Start a book, or read about remembrance books.
It is free to print and share. If you are missing someone, we are sorry.
